Fertile myrtle (& woodruff)
Clumps of sweet woodruff that were tossed at the foot of the birdbath last autumn during clean-up took root and look pretty nice there. Woodruff grows prolifically; all you need is one clump to get started on a sweet woodruff forest carpet. Gave some to a friend who stopped by over the weekend. She's no idea what she's gotten herself into. Some myrtle is also coming up near the bath. I'm surprised it survived winter. Bleeding heart is peeking too.
