Cloning spearmint couldn't be easier. It roots like crazy (I put these cuttings in water just over a week ago) and transplants with no problem. In fact, it will take over your garden. But I can't get enough spearmint, and I let it peek up through the peonies, around the steps, and in between the tomatoes. It's GREAT in salads, and is THE main flavoring for my favorite summer refreshment, the MOJITO! So bring it on: I root spearmint all summer, then plant it in new places. This year, it appeared behind where the hose hangs along the side of the house. Yeessss!!!!
