Moss under cloche

A small, indoor moss garden I started last year, using a glass cheese server I got at a tag sale for $1. Iron bird inside was somewhere around the house; moss was free from nearby woods. All the time, something new is cropping up in there. Unidentified growing objects. It stays in the garden room year-round. Shameless self promotion now: In September, I'll be teaching a one-day workshop on moss gardening. To sign up, go to www.mercybythesea.org and look under programs and registration, or call the center at (203) 245-0401. We'll make portable moss gardens like this one and learn how to identify and collect native mosses. I just love moss.
