Ollas

Pronounced "OY-as," this is a time-honored, reliable, Spanish method of clay pot irrigation. Conserves water, keeps garden hydrated with as little waste as possible. Provides water directly to plant roots. Especially good if there are water use restrictions in your area. Virtually eliminates water loss through evaporation. Just got my new ollas delivered today! Ordered 4 smaller ones for the herb patch, and will try them out. May even work in large pots. If they work well in our soil, I'll get the much larger ones (pumpkin-shaped) for the vegetable garden.
