Feathering the Summer Nest
This weekend’s garden chores included planting the
Japanese plum tree, another rose bush in the front garden near the arbor,
another young Munstead lavender plant in the spiral herb garden, and moving the
brown turkey fig tree from its pot in the
garage (where it overwintered nicely after 7 years of outgrowing its pot)
into the spiral herb garden.
I cleared leaves and winter debris from the spiral
garden and there was a bright green clump of chives, and the strawberry plants.
The peonies there are also making a comeback. We also did some general yard
cleaning, while the dogs rolled in the grass and chased squirrels. Summer is just around the corner, beloved.
Thank you,
Mother Earth!
