Georgia Peaches
Tonight,
I plant the Belle of Georgia peach tree we bought over the weekend. We went for
the large, potted specimen, in an effort to get things growing as soon as
possible. We expect to have peaches next summer, possibly some this summer, with this fast-growing variety
of peach tree.
The Belle of Georgia, or Georgia Bell, white
freestone peach is famous for its amazing, unique flavor. It is Georgia's most
famous white freestone peach.
This tree will produce large, sweet smelling,
juicy, white flesh peaches with a red blush. It reaches maturity at about six
to ten feet , so it’s scaled perfectly for our vegetable garden area. This
variety of peach tree produces an abundance of peaches from one tree and is
self-pollinating.
A brilliant peach tree.
