Zen Garden
The beautiful Zen garden at Wesleyan University's College of East Asian Studies
The first class of the Shin Buddhism intensive was held last
weekend, and it was wonderful.
Wesleyan University's College of East Asian studies is a beautiful part of the campus, and features a
gorgeous Zen garden, sponsored by the Freeman family.
Two
hours of prayer, chant, and meditation is followed by a bring-your-own-lunch,
which you can enjoy near the garden. In the afternoon, there is 2 hours of
Dharma study.
The
Zen garden there has inspired me to plant more Japanese maple, both red and green.
