Someone contacted me after yesterday’s post about The Lotus
Sutra, asking where I’d found my copy - an excellent Chinese translation of the
original Sanskrit. There’s a sangha in Taiwan that distributes these books free
of charge. You can request up to five texts, which they will send via air mail and at their cost. Go here to make your request:
Please remember that these are dharma texts, and should be
treated kindly. If you find yourself for whatever reason wanting to give
them away, donating them to your local library is a good place to start. Or give
them to a friend who wants to study the dharma. Or a local temple. Don’t throw
the texts away. This is essential respect for what is considered sacred
Buddhist scripture.
