Missing the mark

The amaryllis are starting to die back. Sometimes when I slice off a faded flowerhead, another scape shoots up and a second blooming begins. Not always, but from time to time, we have amaryllis in bloom until Easter. It's too early to tell if this will be a good year.

Last year's amaryllis are putting out leaves but no scapes yet. Wasn't on top of my game, amaryllis-wise, last summer. They should have spent the entire season outdoors.
