Planted Romaine seeds this morning, 18 pots of about 8 seeds each, and placed them under the grow lights. In a month they can go outside, with protection. Glad we didn't discard the raised garden bed at the end of last summer. I'll use it for this crop, then retire the tired old thing for good.

AND...the chives, especially the garlic chives, are germinating!

I read today (in E magazine) that Yale is growing lettuce, spinach and carrots in 30-degree temperatures. Big snow is on the radar for tomorow.
