Indeed mid-winter is a time of temptation. A handful of basil seeds in a small pot of soil has germinated under the grow lights. Now what? Soon they'll be starved for warmth and real light, and then they'll fade slowly away. I've killed my children! What I'll do is keep them going as long as possible, then when it starts to look like it's going bad, I'll make a salad. Still, that's a cruel waste. Damn this winter to hell...
BTW, also starting a pot of chives under the lights. Blast...
