New Year, New Face

Meet Purple Chakra (Chakra for short), a Bear Syrian hamster and our newest roomie. 

He follows in the paws of Wheat Germ, our little short-haired hamster, who died last year at age 3. My poor husband was heartbroken when Wheat Germ died. Then, this past Saturday, he was relaxing on the couch when he turned to me and asked, “Do you want to go look at hamsters?” 

I dropped my chores, we went to lunch, and then found this guy. May he live a long, playful, and peaceful life as part of our little family.
